Resilience

This morning while waiting at the airport to board my flight I have been reminded of Resiliency that shows up in those around me. A mom of a two month old traveling by herself, she said she brought him to meet family and was heading home. She was working hard to keep everything together and a little one content. A middle aged woman who asked if I could watch her mother who has Alzheimer’s while she ran to get some snacks for their trip. She was teary when she asked. I remember those days, I cared for my grandmother who also had Alzheimer’s. It’s a hard journey.

Life is like that. Complicated at times. Resiliency matters. Each step we take impacts us, though sometimes we walk absentmindedly. Whatever season we are in brings a purpose to our life.

God created each of us for a purpose. Resiliency can help us stay focused on that purpose, lack of it, can keep us distracted from ever fulfilling what we were placed here to do.

Just contemplating today…
