Esther 4

Ever wonder why you were born in the time frame that you live in? Why you exist in the place and time that you do? 

In Esther chapter 4, Mordecai tells Queen Esther that her very existence in the place and time she lives could be just to save her people. Bravely and through much prayer and fasting she steps into the role she is called for and turns the tide, saving an otherwise doomed people. Could she have denied her calling? Of course! Instead, she choose to walk forward and make a difference.

When the waters around you are turbulent, do you press into your calling or withdraw? Will you choose to make a difference for those around your sphere of influence? Some times the difference we make is simply to lift another’s spirit by offering a word of encouragement, other times, we might be more substantial. Regardless, each day, you and I get to choose to make a difference in our world.
